one thing i find annoying about the blog is that it shows the last entry first. i really feel when visiting a new blog that it would be best to start from the beginning and read to the end, we're not japanese after all [unless you are in fact japanese]. i think it's good to witness the evolution of the particular blog. people probably think they know what they're going to say until they realize they don't have anything to say, so they start saying things they didn't know they were going to say. i mean, that's why tourettes syndrome is so fucking hilarious.

surprisingly, i don't have to work tomorrow. this means two things - i won't be going to the gym tonight and, i will be drinking twelve [12] cans of schlitz beer. i only hope i can stay awake long enough to drink all twelve cans - hey, you gotta have goals.

i really jumped the gun on movie review wednesdays [see yesterday's post], to make up for it i will have another movie themed dish in...

recipe of the day - i'm basing this one on perhaps the greatest movie of all time, 'the godfather'. it's called 'horsehead in a bed'. very much like pigs in a blanket - but really nothing like that at all. you'll need to make some substitutions because it's incredibly difficult to obtain a severed horse's head for the purpose of eating. first step - take four ritz crackers and place them on a plate. on each cracker spread about a tablespoon of skippy smooth peanut butter. you know what's coming next...the no-name cheese slice. remove the wrapper and fold the cheese slice in half, and then in half again. despite it's rubbery pliability it should still break upon folding. you should now have four mini-cheese slices in a stack. peel them apart and place one on each peanut butter covered cracker. press down slightly to ensure the cheese sticks. enjoy with beer or instant coffee. that's italia.

  1. Severed horse heads can now be obtained fairly easily online. Much like ham bones, horse heads are considered to be a flavoring agent for certain stocks and rues. A well cured horse head tastes a lot like chicken, but mostly like horse.

  2. interesting. got a link with prices? i wonder about the freshness of online produce purchases though. i once bought a pair of sheeps testicles online, and they didn't meet the chef's high standards to say the least. my apartment smelled like rotting flesh for weeks, and i was sick for three days after eating them.
